What's worth knowing before you install it.
Does it work on Mac, Linux or mobile?
No. QuickTranslate is an app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 only. There is no macOS, Linux, iOS or Android version, and no browser extension.
Which apps does it work in?
Any Windows app where you can type or select text: Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, Telegram, your browser, email, Word or a game chat. Games in exclusive fullscreen may need borderless windowed mode.
Do I have to install anything in Discord, Slack or Teams?
No. It isn't a bot or an integration: it works at the Windows level, on the text box you're typing in. It needs no permissions from any server or from your company's admin.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan includes 7 write-mode translations a day with all 4 tones, with no account and no time limit, and read mode is free and unlimited. Pro removes the limit for €4.90 a month or €39 a year, and you can try it free for 7 days.
What doesn't QuickTranslate do?
It doesn't translate images or the screen (no OCR), it doesn't translate voice or audio, it doesn't work offline and it doesn't translate documents or PDFs. It translates the text you type or select.
Does it store what I translate?
No. The text is translated and not stored. The app sends no telemetry and this website uses no cookies.
